Story
Hi, my name is Chris and my work truck needs a new transmission. It is the only vehicle my family has. We rely on this truck for the local transportation provides for my family. It was a personal truck, but unfortunately, it has become a work truck because I am supposed to start a new contracting job soon. So I need to use it to support my family. The cost for a new transmission in my vehicle is $7000 at a shade tree mechanic location or $7500 at the dealership. I think it is worth it for the extra $500 for the 3 year, 36000 mile warranty at the dealership offers but if I can’t get 7500 then shade tree mechanic it is.
