Story

Since 2016,there have been influx of internally displaced persons (Wome and ,children especially ) in to my town which they consider a safe haven. This influx is due to the anglophone crises in Cameroon. People have fled from other parts of anglophone regions to limbe which I reside. This people are in dire need of help especially food items to survive. Some need non food items like shelter. I have been working so hard to help some of them but my salary cannot carry. I came up with this idea of opening a poultry farm so as to raise money to help them in a sustainable way. I have a big land behind my house which my dad left for me.It can carry a poultry capacity of up to 3000 chicks. The cost of a chick is $1.After 12 weeks,it is sold for $10 per chick. A bag of 50kg  feed is $40.

100 chicks will feed on 10 bags of 50kg feed until it gets to maturity to be sold.

Expenditure for 100 chicks till

maturity is 100 chicks ×$1 = $100

$40 per 50kg bag  × 10 =$400

Total cost is $500

Selling price is $10 per chicken ×100 chicken = $1000

Profit is $500.

This $50] can cater for up to 15 persons per month.

We have more than a thousand IDPs who needs help. I can’t help all but I wish to help some.

If a grant is given to me to start up a poultry farm, I will be so grateful to go a long way to help humanity. Any amount from $500 will do to  achieve my goal. My name is Stanley Eyasu Mukete and I work with Fund fir women in Development, a Non profit organization based in limbe in Cameroon.
