Help a Father Rebuild After a Lifetime of Loss

My name is David Nader. I’ve spent 34 years working hard, building my life and career in stucco, a trade I take pride in. I’m 57 years old, and for 15 years, I ran a family-owned stucco business. My crew was my family, and my family was my crew. But in the past few years, life has hit me harder than I ever thought possible.

My brother, my right-hand man, and the leader of my crew was diagnosed with stage-four cancer. It was irreversible. He went into the hospital and never came out. Losing him was like losing a piece of myself.

Not long after, my wife—the love of my life and the backbone of our business—suffered a heart attack in her sleep, right next to me. I gave her CPR for 22 agonizing minutes, waiting for the ambulance to arrive. She didn’t make it. I had to sit my youngest son down, just 11 years old at the time, and tell him his mom was in heaven. I still hear his cries in my heart.

As if that wasn’t enough, my mother passed away shortly after. She was my rock, the one who kept our family and business grounded. Then my father followed. Loss after loss, the foundation of my world crumbled.

More recently, tragedy struck again when my son Alex’s home burned down. He, his girlfriend, and my two precious grandchildren lost everything and had no place to go. Now they’re living with me, and I’m doing my best to take care of them.

I’ve been laid off for six months, and everything is piling up. I’m behind on My property taxes I put my truck in the shop and now I can’t afford to get it out. For the first time in my life I honestly need some help, and I’m not just looking for some charity or a handout if I hit the lottery we’re running some good fortune or something I will gradually pay this back!
