Story

Blessings,

I am 66 years old and thirty years ago I became paralysed from the neck down after emergency surgery to remove a bleeding tumor from my cervical spine, and to save my life. I was a businessman, married at the time, and a father of 9 children. I was given 5-7 years to live post surgery, however I fought to help myself, and others to heal and I found my purpose in doing that. However, physically I had to reprogram myself to live differently, I went through divorce, dissolved my business just focus on basic living. I was ignorant to the facts of how hard it would be, somehow I believed that I could break the spell of my disease with consistent effort, but financially I could not afford to nourish and train my mind and body as was needed. However, I defied the odds and I surpassed the doctor’s prediction. However I did not contribute enough to social security to receive full retirement income, and this has made all my hard work seem in vain. I have been fighting to live a decent life, and helping others for the last thirty years with my disabilities and I have to keep fighting if I want to live. It’s been hard but I have dedicated my life to being a blessing and that action has helped me each day. However I can’t survive with $900 a month, I need a miracle of help! I am writing a book of my experiences to inspire others, but I will need money for that project as I understand. I am not one who complains, I always put my best effort into finding solutions, and I believe that Asking for help is a solution as well. If there is one able heart out there who can help me get to the finish line… Amen!
