Story
Join me in my mission to tackle the overwhelming burden of private student loan debt from Sallie Mae. This campaign aims to raise awareness and provide financial relief for myself and anyone struggling with predatory lending practices that have left countless borrowers in a cycle of financial instability. My campaign is here to assist in the relief of over $200K in student loan debt, that has been worsened by the predatory dealings of Sallie Mae.
We seek to support individuals facing high interest rates, unclear repayment terms, and aggressive collection tactics. Funds raised will directly assist myself in paying down loans and advocating for fairer lending practices. Any remaining funds will be donated to fairer borrowing campaigns to support young adults and their goal for financial freedom.
Your contribution can help me with my debt as well as others and empower borrowers to regain control of their financial futures. Together, we can shine a light on these predatory practices and create a pathway toward relief and recovery.
Join me in this important cause—every donation and pledge counts!
A little about me:
My name is Taylor. The burden of private student loan debt has profoundly impacted my life, leaving me feeling like a shell of my former self due to the overwhelming stress it brings.
At 23, I was diagnosed with lupus, and my battle with my health continues to take a toll. Despite the support from my family, the medical bills have compounded my struggles, contributing to a staggering private student loan debt of over $200K. As a 17-year-old entering college, I had no understanding of the commitments my parents were making on my behalf, and now I am left to confront the consequences.
I currently work full-time as a clinical exercise physiologist in a cardiac and pulmonary rehab unit, where I dedicate myself to helping my patients regain their strength. My own experiences with health challenges allow me to connect deeply with those I serve. However, the physical demands of my job and my health issues make me uncertain about my future in this role. Without my job, my student loan debt will only continue to grow.
I am reaching out to ask for any help you might be able to provide, whether financial support or guidance on resources that could assist me in this fight. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my story.
