Story

I’m raising $5,000 to help my loved one back into the workforce post cancer. Over the past 3 years, they have undergone 4 operations and spent numerous weeks in the hospital. They are one of the most generous, kind-hearted people I know and have spent their life helping others before helping themselves, including working as a social worker for 12 years. Unfortunately, they have felt very alone in their health journey and haven’t been able to work for 5 years. Earlier this year, they were diagnosed with endometrial cancer and although it seems they have overcome this diagnosis, they are suffering from depression and anxiety. Mostly because of the years of illness, they have not been social or had employment, leaving them in a lot of debt both financially and mentally. If we can help them get back into the workforce by assisting with purchasing a car and maybe taking them on a well-deserved holiday, that would be our goal. Any help would be greatly appreciated and will show them that they’re really not in this alone.
