Young female struggling to survive alone
Story
- Hi my name is Brooklynn. I’m a 23 year old female struggling to get back on my feet. I’m not one to complain or even ask anybody for anything, but I’m asking for help. I don’t have friends nor family, and I’ve never really had any guidance in life.January 29, 2023 was the worst day of my life. My father was battling lung cancer and a tumor had erupted in his heart that night. I was there and I tried so hard to save my daddy, but NOONE should EVER have to witness something so crucial. I watched my father bleed out and literally was holding him as he took his last breath. I’m at peace knowing he’s in no pain because I have no right to be selfish.
A part of me left with him that night and I’ve been struggling ever since. My father didn’t have burial insurance so I paid out of pocket and it took everything I had but that was his one wish was to be buried. I lost my home due to financial issues, I lost my job, my car, and I lost my father.
I’ve been struggling homeless back and forth between places, and I have nobody to ask for help. I don’t know where to go for help. I’m trying to get my life straight out because I’m tired of living in the streets. I had 6 to 8 years free college but I turned it down to take care of my father. I can always go back to school. I can’t get that time back with him. I don’t regret it even though I’m in the situation I’m in. I’m a smart talented young adult striving to be a better me everyday. I’m just alone and everybody needs some kind of support.
I manage to make ends meet right now, it be days I don’t eat or drink or even have the bare necessities to survive but I’m alive.
I want to get my ID and get a job and start working. I just need help. I’d appreciate anything at all, if you could just spare the time to read and understand
