Working performer in debt
Story
Hey potential helpers,
I am a working performer from Alberta and recently had to post-pone a show contract due to severe medical issues with my skin. My passion is to sing and perform, I’ve been very down in the dumps about having to take a break. I have been working at the theatre in other ways as much as possible but unfortunately there isn’t many shifts to go around! I’ve asked my landlords for a rental payment plan for October because I’ll be good to begin a show contact again come November, and therefore get my usual income. My fear now, is that I’m so far behind I don’t know how I’ll ever catch up on rent. My housemates are counting on me to take care of their kitty cats while they are away out of country for the year, and therefore finding other, cheaper housing isn’t an option for me until they get back. My rent is $1000 a month for 1 person. I am 3 months behind on rent, $3000. If I could get caught up to that point it would feel like 1000000 lbs off my shoulders. I cry every day about how stressed I am that I owe people money, which is causing my medical issues to heal slower as well, causing a nasty cycle that I feel trapped in. Please help. This is my last hope before I end up in the biggest hole ever.
