Story
My name is Sam. I’m a mom of three girls and a full-time student trying to rebuild after a divorce and a long custody fight that left me in debt and behind on bills.
I was just laid off, and trying to find a job with young kids is brutal. I’m $2,000 behind on my car and at real risk of repossession. If I lose it, I can’t get to school or handle daily life for my kids. I also still owe $4,000 in legal fees from the custody case that I can’t pay off on my own.
Child support and assistance are how we’re getting by while I finish school so I can get certified and work again. I’m pushing forward, but deadlines are hitting right now, and I don’t have a safety net.
