Hello,My name is Kimberly. I am creating this fundraiser in hopes that I can raise enough money to provide some sleeping bags, and other needed supplies to some our local Homeless people. 2 years ago I found myself homeless,jobless,and hopeless living in a tent barley surviving. There was nights I was so cold and hungry that I thought I would die. I was not on drugs, or alcohol like a lot of people insinuated, I actually was running from a very abusive individual and Was trying to hide from him so he could not find me. I’nthe 2 years I spent living in a tent I seen more than I ever would wish on my worst enemy. I watched people die,I watched people get beat,I watched people overdose,I watched the cops beat up people and destroy their only shelter and rip apart their belongings in the dead of winter.They took their blankets their clothes their food and bulldozed it over into a pile of dirt and buried it leaving them out in the freezing cold with no shelter no blankets no clothes and no shoes no nothing ect. Being out there amongst all those people showed me a whole different world. It humbled me and it opened my eyes to realize that not every one who is homeless and living on the streets are drug addicts.They are just like you and I.They have feelings,they feel pain,they get cold they get hungry they get sad and they get lost… And some of them never make it out alive ..The reason I have created this is because I need some help getting them supplies and food..It’s gonna be really cold and a lot of them don’t even have a coat. So any kind of donations wether it be cash or blankets or food anything will help.And I know they will be very appreciative.Thank you
