stage 4 Cancer But the economy is killing me
Story
Hello. I’m Monica. I’m 37 years old and single and I have a 9 year autistic son. I was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2023. I have gone through chemo abd radiations and other treatments. I recently found out it progressed to stage four. I am currently unable to work. I do some things at home to make money but it is not enough. My son and I live in a hotel where we pay once a week. I never know how I’m going to pay for it and I get really close to be coming homeless every Wednesday. Yes I’ve applied for benefits. Yes I’ve called 211. Yes I applied for food stamps. Yes I have insurance but I still have to pay. I’ve done all the steps to get help but it is taking to long. Im reduced to having to beg and most people verbally attack me or suggest things I’ve already done. The main point of this is my son and I are going to be homeless. I REPEAT I CAN NOT WORK. I don’t know what we are going to do.Â
