Hello,

I am a 53 year old single mother with 2 teenage children. Up until the night before Thanksgiving, my children and I were homeless.  By the grace of God, we had just received news that we were approved for a housing voucher and could move into our new apartment. Amen for that.  However, I am still in desperate need of some help. I was laid off my job in May of this Year and lost my car and our house.  I need help paying my bills (phone, gas, water, electric, groceries). I am in desperate need of a vehicle as my children had to drop out of after school activities due to lack of transportation and the fact that I need a way to look for work.  Just as important, I need help to give my kids a Christmas this year.  We don’t have anything as I was unable to pay for storage and it was all auctioned off.

My kids have been through hell. My son is acting out and my daughter has closed herself off.  They have both been found to have black mold spores in their blood due to black mold poisoning.  I just want to tray and make things normal for them again.  I am not eligible for state benefits as they have all been depleted (TANF, LIHEAP, Unemployment Benefits, Crisis Funding Ect). I do not receive child support from their father due to the fact that he always works under the table and I do not dare approach him due to the violent history of his nature with myself and the kids. And a loan is out of the question due to my credit history. Grants are to hard to apply for or take to long to receive.

That is the reason I am begging you all, if you can please find it in your hearts to help out a family in need this year, it would be greatly appreciated and always remembered.  I would be forever thankful. And when the day comes that I am stable in my situation, I will gladly and willingly pay it forward to someone else in need.
