Service Member In Need
Story
This campaign is an effort in desperate need of financial assistance. My financial status took a turn for the worse when my ex-wife and I separated back in September of 2023 and I was left paying for a 3-bedroom rental house on my own. During this major event in my life where I was not in an ideal headspace to continue working as a healthcare professional, I chose to temporarily step away from my job. Losing my main source of income, this required me to take out loans in order to support my cost of living until I was ready to return to the work force about a month later. In efforts to find some enjoyment in life, I went to a BBQ with my ex-coworkers and ended up crashing my car and getting a DWI. Now I am burdened with the costs of previous loans, legal fees, and about $1000 a month for the unreliable rental vehicle I currently drive to work. I cannot afford to take out any more loans since the interest rates are ridiculously high. My family doesn’t have any expendable money to loan me. The military cannot assist me since I am a Reservist. If I reach my funding goal, I will be able to pay back loans, improve my credit, and put a down payment towards a more reliable and affordable vehicle which will allow me to allocate more funds towards debt or essential needs. If I do not receive help soon, I fear that I will not be able to afford rent and be at risk for eviction.
