Story

I am reaching out with an open heart and a humble request. I am a disabled mother of four beautiful children and three of them teenagers who are growing fast and, like all teens, eating me out of house and home! I love them more than anything in this world, and I want nothing more than to give them the safety and security of a real home.

Six years ago, my life changed in an instant. I suffered a devastating fall that led to catastrophic injuries. Since then, I have undergone multiple procedures and surgeries, fighting every day to get back to where I was. For five years, I endured pain, rehab, and endless appointments, clinging to hope. But the final verdict from my medical team was crushing: my injuries are permanent and cannot be repaired. I am now an ambulatory wheelchair user, living with chronic pain and limited mobility.

Despite everything, I have kept going for my kids. They deserve stability. They deserve a safe place to grow, dream, and thrive. We have been through so much together. But now, the rising cost of rent and the challenges of living in a space not designed for someone with my mobility needs have pushed us to the edge. We need a home of our own, one that is accessible, safe, and permanent.  I am asking for your help to make that dream a reality.
A house isn’t just a building to us, its freedom. It’s the chance to finally exhale after years of hardship. It’s the foundation my children need as they approach adulthood. Its the peace of knowing I can care for them in a space that works for all of us, including me in my chair.
