In 2020, my fiance and baby’s father attacked me with an axe. This trauma left me with physical scars on my thigh and emotial damage. I was working well in a stable job but overtime it appeared that I had anger issues and was just mental unwell. This led to me leaving my job in 2024. I deeply regret this decision as it has brought me a mountain of debt, endless problems, poverty and most importantly has negatively affected my childrens schooling. I am a single mom with 3 children. My eldest child had to drop out of college and is currently looking for work. My second child is in her senior year of High School and has been excluded from academic activities in the school due to outstanding fees. This is a critical time in a her education career and did not want to disrupt her schooling. Unfortunately despite my efforts and begging the school for time, she has been told to not retun until her fees are paid. My last born child who was 4 months at the time of the attack should be in foundation phase but is currently at home with me as I cannot afford to buy and prepare school lunch and snacks. I am applying for work and taking on odd jobs here and there but is has been extremenly tough. We are currently reliant on my grandmother’s pension which is taking its toll on her as this is money she should be using for her self care items like medicine and toiletries, yet she is using it to help me and my kids get food and pay for lights. I am in desperate need of some help.
