Story
Greetings,
May I have your attention for a moment:
I am a single mother in need of urgent help
As a mother of teenagers and a toddler, I can say “raising a child today is not the same as it was a decade ago.” Everything has gone up except for wages. Many times, I am juggling several hats to keep up. However, after having my recent toddler, I have not been able to maintain that lifestyle. A Consumer Affairs report revealed the cost of living has inflated by 586% since 1973. It does not seem to be slowing down, and at this point I cannot keep up.
Prior to the pandemic, we were living comfortably. I had a savings account and a rainy-day account with more than six months of expenses. We had a beautiful apartment, and car. Even had my children in little league sports, they loved it. That changed drastically post pandemic. `It breaks my heart to see the TV is filling the gap where Football and Soccer use to be.
Furthermore, I realize that the amount of money I was making could not meet our needs. It became apparent that it was time to pivot. In earnest hope, I want to complete my undergraduate courses to gain my degree in Business Management. Thus, opening the door for opportunities to acquire higher wages.
Higher wages would mean access to childcare, freedom to enroll my children in extracurricular activities, ability to purchase our first home. The list could go on.
I have done all I can to minimize expenses. However, I need help covering expenses while I pursue my degree.
I have a goal of $50,000.
Please help as you are able.
God Bless!
