I am in the process of surreptitiously planning my exit strategy. Unfortunate, for me he has realized the possibility I can save money with this job i now have. I am the mother of 4 my eldest is out on his own, my second is about to graduate and the other 2 are school aged. I was a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom) a large portion of their lives. The goal of a single income house hold is possible but, the reality of the percentage that are being abused is higher than the “happy shiny people”  view that is sold. I am one of those women. I have been financially abused, emotionally abused all while giving my kids everything I had, leaving myself a shell. I have since started to work on my mental health, and made the decision; enough was enough because no matter what the kids were not happy and I definitely was not either. Not only do I deserve better but, they do, they deserve to have a truly whole and complete mother, to live their lives in a regulated emotional home, safe from criticism and self hating deflection.

As I said before; he is making it hard to save. I believe he has started to fear the possibility and is ensuring I cannot save to get away. I truly need a vehicle: it doesn’t have to be new it just needs to be safe and reliable, I need to be able to get into an apartment and furnish it. He has ensured that anything of “value” is purchased by him and in his name. I am stuck even with all I have done I know I still have more to go. I will have legal fees to ensure I have child custody and I cannot leave that to fate, I know this man is going to make this as difficult as possible if he finds out before I can leave. I do fear for myself and I have zero proof of his unhinged behavior.
