I’m an 18 year old student, and I feel like I’m already losing a fight that hasn’t even begun. I study as much as I can for a better future. But it’s hard to focus when everything around me feels like it’s got no hope.

A little while ago, I found this online job that seemed perfect. Flexible hours, something I could do around my classes but before I could even get started, I got the  “positions full” email so now I’m back at square one, trying to figure out what’s next.

It’s not just me I’m fighting for. My girlfriend, she’s everything to me. She’s stuck in this horrible situation with a bad family, and every day, I see what it does to her. I want to help her, give her a life where she has some peace of mind. I want to eventually afford to rent a small and cheap house/apartment just to give her lots of love and quiet. But what can I do when I can barely do anything about my own life?

I’ve been trying to think of ways to make money, something solid, something that could last. I keep telling myself, that if I could just save enough, I could start a business, something small but steady. But the truth is, I don’t even know where to start. It’s just this blurry dream in my head…something better than risking to work forever to pay off a debt I got for trying to establish something, something stable. There aren’t good jobs in the area, I need to go far away but I can’t go with her , without something in my pocket, or else we’ll probably end up on the streets.

I won’t lie about that, it’s humiliating to sit here and ask strangers for help. If you’ve read this far, thank you. Even just listening means more than you know. If there’s anything you can spare, even just advice, it could mean everything to me. I am also looking for some opportunities in case you don’t want to give money directly for free, I can edit videos, do basic photo editing and speak 4 languages . I don’t have all the time in the world but anything’s worth a try. My end goal is to eventually fund even a small online business, enough to get me some cash to put aside or reinvest in something bigger before I finish my studies.
