Story
I’m a 40 year old woman, newly single after being stuck in an abusive 15 year relationship. I left with just the clothes on my back and my dog. it’s been about 4 months since i left, things have not been easy for me at all. I currently rent a room for a few hundred a week, I am working part time as I have to walk to work because I sold my truck thinking I wasn’t going to need it anymore, how wrong i was.
I had saved enough to make it to thailand where i had a job, place and friends waiting. The trip was delayed by 3 weeks because the person i would’ve been staying with got stuck having to travel for job, so i was stuck staying at hotel until he got back to his place in thailand, i wasn’t anticipating that so i lost about half my money paying for hotel food gas ect for 3 weeks, so finally day comes, my first tine ever leaving the country i was nervous asf, well i make it all the way to Bangkok, 22 hrs, only to be turned away due to a damaged passport, they detained me for almost a day, embassy didn’t help, i had to spend the last of my money for a plane ticket back, it was one of the worst experiences, my poor dog wasn’t even allowed to go out and use the bathroom i wasn’t allowed to go anywhere without someone guiding me there, we get on the plane fly another 22 hrs back to the place i was so desperate to leave and was worse off than when I left. It’s been almost 2 months now since I’ve been back, now on top of it all Im starting to loose my hair, Its to the point where I won’t leave my room unless I have to, I can’t work, I can’t go out with friends I won’t even go see my family I’m so sick and embarrassed I have to wear a beanie because of the bald spots I can’t afford to do anything to help I can’t afford it, I’m so tired of things always going bad for me and me just accepting because I don’t ask for help, something has to change, which leads me to why I’m here
I don’t know what else to do I feel so defeated I need help desperately I’ll take any help anyone can offer i just want to be able to look at myself without crying, feeling sick, I want to be able to go out in public and not feel like I’m being looked at I just want to feel pretty again, please help me.
