Hi everyone. My name is Dexter Norwood, and I humbly come to you today to kindly ask for your assistance in saving my family home from foreclosure due to reduced work, which led to my financial hardship. I’ve been a very hard-working and dedicated employee of Hitachi Energy since July 13, 2000. My wife is disabled, and the little income that she receives is not nearly enough to help support us totally, but I love her dedication to standing by me during these difficult times.

Our son, who just very recently graduated from high school on May 17, 2024, is currently registering for college to study gaming design. He just recently told me that he would put off going to college to find a job to help out with bills and save our home, but I told him no, I’m not going to let you do that and that you’re going to college to accomplish your dreams of doing what you want to do out of life. I got this. I’m going to handle this: go to school.

Earlier this year, our work had begun to dwindle and slow down due to defective parts from a supplier supplying us with some of the main parts we needed to keep operations going, so my employer laid me off due to a lack of work. But then, when the work had started picking back up, that’s when there was a fatal incident that happened on August 1, 2024, where a fellow employee and close friend lost his life due to an accident that occurred, resulting in the factory’s production being shut down due to the order of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), who, along with local authorities, is currently investigating the matter, which resulted in the slowdown or shutdown of production until the investigation concludes.
