In 2020 I got my freedom papers as I like to call them. I represented myself over 30 times in. Ourt against my children’s father and our abuser. Despite feeling like I had nothing to prove everything I was saying. I did it I proved it and climbed the highest mountain of my life. That’s where the road began. I relocated across country with my twins and we did not have much but we survived all of Covid. I had no job and I couldn’t use any of my history for safety reasons so we door dashed my twins and I together until I was able to land a job! Fast forward 3 years and 3 more moves and I was so good at my job I had trained a computer to take it along with my whole team we just got let go. So back to door dashing…. Bam out of the blue a gmc terrain ran a red light and t boned my car. While I was in the ER I learned that my insurance has just lapsed 7 days prior. Panicking about what I am going to do I waiting for the police report. So I could show this guy hit me and caused the accident totaling my car I’ve worked so hard to climb rung by rung step by step. This car was one of my biggest accomplishments and a Bank robber who had just gotten out of prison after 30 years ran a red light and destroyed it. I am currently in a state that I just learned has a no fault law meaning that even though he was at fault legally somehow he’s not. This makes no sense to me and also because my insurance had lapsed I cannot sue this person according to these laws. If anyone out there can help me. Really I just want to get my car fixed. If I have to buy a new one I will but I will still be heart broken I worked so hard to achieve buying a car all on my own after everything had been destroyed and I nearly lost my life. I fought so hard and got us safe if anyone out there could just help us keep going I cannot express the gratitude I have!
