Story

My name is Jacob and my wife’s name is Mimi. We are the parents to 3 girls and 1 boy: Linvallah, 3 years; Liliana, 2 years; and Adoni and Lumia, 5-month-old twins. Due to making some mistakes as a young adult, it is very difficult for me to procure employment that pays enough to take care of 6 people. So, I started my own business in construction thinking I would make money instead of doing what I love (bad idea). Business isn’t too easy to come by, and good help can be hard to find, as well as most jobs being done cheaply, so it’s hard to compete. My wife is not a US citizen as of this moment but will be getting her social security number and Green Card in a couple of months. She cannot work, and we have no family to help us. The only family that I have is my mother and sisters, and they are the reason I was kicked out to the street. My wife, kids, and I were staying with my mom due to financial hardship. We had been there for a little over a month when my sister started accusing us of calling the police on her because she bought an RV and parked it in the street in front of the house. It wasn’t us, but we got accused, and she then proceeded to get belligerent and drunk and decided to also accuse us of breaking into her RV, although it was locked. She then proceeded to assault my wife, who did not retaliate but praised God and shouted the love of Jesus the whole time (He (Jesus) converted her from the Islamic religion to His path and calling). My wife then called the police, and my sister was arrested. When my wife went to court, she decided to drop the charges, but the prosecution and the judge would not let her do it right away. She did this 3 times, and on the last time she went to court, due to my sister constantly harassing and threatening us, she decided to let the state keep the charges. Immediately after this, my mother filed a restraining order against us, which got denied, and then she had her landlord serve us an eviction notice. Long story short, she kicked me and my wife out into the street in 20° weather with our 4 kids and then attempted to get our kids taken by children services once she put our kids out on the street. We have no car, we have no home, but we have God. Random strangers that we met while walking helped us secure a motel for a week. A week isn’t very long in the grand scope of things. So we’re just looking for this help for a van, and enough to live until I finish my school to be a teacher of alternative healing through Christ. Once finished, we will pursue our goal of adopting more children and creating a school and home for kids who are less fortunate and have nobody that wants them. We appreciate any and all kind hearts willing to help, and we will be sure to pass on any blessings that we receive. We need this much because vans are expensive, and it might have to double as a place to stay some nights. So it has to be a decent van that will last us for a while, as we are a family of six. Again, we appreciate all help. God bless the world, and God bless you.
