I am reaching out with deep humility and hope. My parents made a big sacrifice to help a close relative during their time of need. They pledged all of their gold jewelry—items that hold not just financial value, but generations of memories and emotion—as security at the bank to take a loan and offer financial support.

Sadly, the relative we helped has now turned their back on us. They refuse to return the money or even communicate. Now, we are facing the painful reality of losing our jewelry, which includes my mother’s wedding items and heirlooms passed down by grandparents.
