Hello,

I want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to hear my story. Your willingness to read this already means the world to me, as I am reaching out in one of the most challenging moments of my Life.

My name is Raul Chavesand, I am a 50-year-old single father doing everything I can to regain my footing in life. Up until recently, I was providing for myself and contributing to my son’s education fund as he began his journey through college. My son, who is living with his mother, has always looked up to me as a source of strength and stability. However, losing my job turned my life upside down. It wasn’t long before my savings were depleted, and I had no choice but to dip into my son’s college fund to stay afloat. Despite my best efforts, the bills began to pile up, and I ultimately lost my apartment.
Now, I find myself living wherever I can-couch surfing, staying in
temporary shelters, and sometimes, wondering where I will rest my
head at night. It’s a humbling and difficult place to be, especially
knowing that my son sees me in this situation. It is hard enough to
find a job in today’s economy, but without a stable address, it feels
almost impossible.
I am raising funds for myself, not for extravagance but for the simple
dignity of having a place to live. This isn’t just about me, though; it’s
about my son, too. I want to show him that no matter how hard life
gets, we can always rise again.
My relationship with the beneficiary:
This is my life. I am my own beneficiary because I believe in my
potential to rebuild, move forward, and contribute meaningfully to
the world once I have the foundation to do so.
How will the funds be spent?
The funds raised will be used to secure a room or a small apartment
that will serve as my sanctuary and launching pad. Having a roof
over my head will allow me to focus on finding employment and
starting afresh. Additionally, it will free me from the constant anxiety
of homelessness, allowing me to rebuild not only my financial
stability but also my confidence and dignity. Any surplus funds will
be directed toward replenishing my son’s college fund, as I am
determined to make things right for him.

How will the funds be delivered to the beneficiary?

The funds will go directly to rental payments, essential utilities, and basic living expenses. Every dollar will be accounted for, ensuring that your contributions are making the maximum impact.

Your generosity will not just help me secure a roof over my head — It will restore hope in a heart that has been tested beyond measure.  Your support will give me a chance to rebuild my life and set an example for my son that no matter how difficult life becomes, kindness and perseverance can pave the way forward.

I will carry this gratitude in my heart forever and pledge to pay this kindness forward when i am back on my feet. Thank you for believing in me and giving me the chance to rewrite my story. Your compassion means more then I can ever express.
