My dad was buried in September 2024, and the bills are piling up. I chose the most affordable option possible to make sure he wouldn’t end up in a pauper’s grave. I’ve already paid $3,000, but I still need nearly $3,000 more.

I’ve put every bit of my savings into this, and now I have nothing left. My parents never planned for this or our future, so I was left to handle everything on my own. As a young adult, losing my father has not only shattered me emotionally but also left me financially devastated.

My dad was my best friend. He always tried his best, making up for my mother’s mistakes and trying to give me a better life. He deserved a proper burial, and I wanted to give him that.
