I am a single mom in recovery and i have been clean for 3 years now and I was working in a warehouse and I got laid off because they couldn’t hire me full time even though I had been there a year and 7 months because of my criminal background and they didn’t have much work so I then had to get on unemployment, while I was working the Job i was laid off from my vehicle broke down and it’s still broken down. Anyway since I have been on unemployment i completed the peer recovery support specialist classes to become a peer and now I am currently waiting on a place to hire so I can work as a peer and do my 500 hours and get certified well I got my taxes back and I have $1500 for a down payment and I had a loan place that was going to work with me, so Saturday I went ahead and picked out the vehicle i wanted it is nice and I didn’t want it to get sold before I could get the loan and I put $200 down for him to hold it. The loan fell through because even though I have had a good history with them the down payment & a small income& I am waiting to start a job they said they couldn’t do because my unemployment doesn’t count for income. Anyway I really don’t ever ask people for help but  I really need it. I started a go fund me page also Anyway i would need to raise 5,900 to be able to purchase the vehicle. I know it’s a long shot but it doesn’t hurt to ask if you know anyone who would be willing to help a single mom in recovery get a newer reliable vehicle i would appreciate it.
