Hello, my name is Jennifer,
I live in Pasco county Florida. As you all know we were slammed back to back with 2 major hurricanes in less than 3 weeks.
Almost all my belongings were destroyed from flooding.I was living at a motel 6 when the storms came through.
The hotel was shut down from all the damage caused from the hurricanes.So everyone that was living in the hotel had to find other places to live.
Along comes FEMA and gives out TSA hotel stays for up to 3 months.
So I wound up at the Quality Inn with a stay from November 20th until January 14th, which is today.
I’m supposed to be out of here by 11:00 this morning and it is 9:52 as of right now.
This is where I got screwed….. FEMA was supposed to extend the TSA for another 2 weeks for everyone that was using the TSA hotel stays.
Well I got a notice on the 12th which was 2 days ago that I am not getting the extension.So they are picking and choosing who gets it and who doesn’t.
I opted out of the $700 that they were offering people for damages of property from hurricanes, I only wanted the TSA hotel stays. I figured someone else probably needs that money more than I did.
So I didn’t take it.
I am disabled and due for back surgery from a vehicle accident last February that caused traumatic brain injury, smashed knee, several hurniated discs in my neck and lower back and a tear in my lower spinal cord.
I’m living on pre settlement money and I am not sure how much I’m going to have left before the case is finished.
If anyone can help me with funds for at least a months stay at a hotel in or near Holiday/New Port Richey area my 2 cats and I will be forever indebted to everyone that helps.
I have not slept since the 12th.
I have been online filling out application after application for all kinds of help since FEMA pulled out on myself and a crap load of other people that really have no where else to go.
I have never been homeless and I don’t know if I can handle it. My self esteem and mental health has been very dark since the accident. I was hit head on by a Uber eats driver,he was at fault.
So I don’t have a vehicle, and afraid to be in one now.
Every penny counts,so please dig deep and help out a desperate woman that has nothing left.
