I feel so ashamed. I am so desperate that I decided to beg because I don’t have a choice.  I don’t know what to do or where to go.

Me and my husband lost our jobs December 2023. We stay in a small town in South Africa. I have a 11yrs old son. We are fortunate to stay at my in-laws, so we don’t need money for housing. My husband got a contract job for 10 months which end October 2024. I applied for so many jobs without any success. My husband did find another job twice a week for only R4000-00 per month. Of which we need to pay electricity and school fees. Somehow, we managed to buy basic groceries every month until end of December 2024. My in-laws are not in the position to help us financially. We need money to buy groceries. My heart breaks to see my child like this. Nothing nice to eat at school were all his friends got nice lunch packs with yoghurt and fruit and so on. We cannot even afford to buy a simple sweet for him and he is so understanding and caring. He doesn’t ask for anything because he knew what our situation is, where other children will not understand why there is no more nice things. It is my job as a mom to provide for my child, but I really can’t.

Please if there is anyone that can assist with any money for us just that I can go and buy groceries, I would appreciate it so much? Please I’m asking as a mother who needs to feed her family. Any help will be appreciated.
