Story

Hello, my name is Brandy and I’m a 38yo disabled woman. I am a three time cancer survivor, had multiple spinal fusions, deal with fibromyalgia, Hypermobile Spectrum Disorder and well, just way too many things to list out in this. I’m stuck relying on SSI, and its barely enough to pay bills, let alone trying to get ahead. I’m truely greatful that i do have it but the program is designed to keep you dependent on it and unable to get ahead.

In March this year I made an emergency move into a new apartment, my old place was unsafe due to black mold, violent neighbors and various other things. This emergency move put in too much debt for me to handle and put me in a cycle of having to overdraft my account monthly just to make sure all the monthly bills are paid and that i have everything i absolutely need month to month. To make matters worse, the day i moved into my new place the vehicle i did have broke down and fixing it would of cost me entirely too much so i was forced to junk the vehicle. I’ve had to pay for rides from various people. I really dont mid paying for rides but it all adds up when several times a month you are going to dr appts and to the store for groceries when needed.

I’m in need of some help. Honestly just raising enough to get it to where i dont have to overdraft my account anymore would help me the most because then i can start to try to save back to get myself a vehicle. Where i live a vehicle is really needed and as much as i do enjoy trying to get out and walk my chronic pain issues make is impossible on me 90% of the time. Seems like every year my disabilities and pain levels get worse and worse but i am really trying to not let it stop me. If i was to raise enough to get a vehicle, i honestly just need a safe used vehicle, i dont care about make, model or color, just as long as its safe and reliable to get me back and forth to all my dr and specialist appointments and to the store.

Any help will get greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
