I am an engineering graduate and was working in Bengaluru, India when I came to know about my mother’s stage II colon cancer. I left the job and went back to my home state.  It was the month of December. I got an offer from an Online tutoring company on January 17th and as it was from home, I accepted the offer.

My mother underwent surgery where the doctors removed the right half of the colon (large intestine) and subsequently, she underwent 8 cycles of Chemotherapy.  It was a financial setback for us.

While working as a tutor, I was making good amount of money enough to live a good and healthy life. My mother also got better with proper treatment.

Fast forward to 2024, my mother is much better and cancel has most probably gone but i am in a deep financial trouble as my online tutoring job was affected by the advent of AI (Artificial Intelligence).  I need to pay a monthly EMI of about $500. I am earning about $800 per month (I am working in India) and this is just enough to survive but I am not able to save anything for my future.

I will forever be grateful, thankful for any kind of financial help.  I just want to get rid of the debt as soon as possible. I am working hard to earn as much as I can but sometime, unexpected expenses pop up time-to-time.
