African girl accepted to study in London
Story
I am a girl from Soweto, South Africa, with a dream of making a difference in my life and my continent. I’ve been accepted to the University of London to study Computer Science through their International Foundation Programme, but I need your help to make this life-changing opportunity a reality.
Growing up in Soweto, I faced many challenges, but education was my beacon of hope. I excelled in matric, achieving high marks in English, Life Sciences, and Physics, despite attending a free township school.
I aim to become a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Cybersecurity Analyst, a critical role in Africa’s booming digital economy. With coding skills on the continent growing by 45% between 2021 and 2022 (as reported by the African Union), governments and businesses will need experts to navigate compliance and implement secure technologies. By earning an international degree, I will gain the foundational knowledge to drive digital transformation and uplift my community and continent.
Your support will help cover my tuition and give me the chance to create a better future for my family and contribute to Africa’s digital growth. Every donation, no matter how small, brings me closer to this dream. Thank you for believing in me and being part of this journey.
