Vanna os 8 an needs help after a crazy fire incident
Story
Vanna Is 8 Years Old… and She Is Fighting for Her Life
One moment, she was just a little girl standing near an outdoor fire.
The next moment, everything exploded.
A liquid was thrown into the flames, and it shot back without warning. The fire surged outward and engulfed Vanna before anyone could reach her. In seconds, her world — and ours — changed forever.
Vanna suffered third-degree burns to 30% of her tiny body.
She was rushed to the Burn Center in Charleston, South Carolina — over four hours away from home — where she is now surrounded by specialists, machines, and constant monitoring. The doctors and nurses there have been nothing short of amazing, doing everything they can to save her and guide her through this unimaginable trauma.
But the burns were not just on the outside.
The flames burned inside her as well.
Her lungs were damaged. Her airway and throat were injured. Her breathing remains touch and go. Her blood pressure has been unstable. Every day is critical. Every day is a battle.
Her recovery will take months — possibly up to a year.
There will be surgeries. Skin grafts. Respiratory treatments. Painful procedures. Physical therapy. Emotional healing.
And through it all, Vanna is showing more strength than most adults ever have to.
She is eight years old.
Eight.
She should be thinking about school, friends, and what she wants to be when she grows up — not fighting to breathe.
While Vanna fights in Charleston, her mama is fighting too. She is staying by Vanna’s hospital bed while also driving more than four hours back home to care for her two older daughters and her twin one-year-old baby boys. She is trying to hold five children together during the hardest moment of their lives.
The back-and-forth travel, gas, food, missed work, and daily expenses are overwhelming. The emotional weight is even heavier.
We are asking for help because this road is long, and this family cannot carry it alone.
Your support will go toward: • Travel to and from Charleston
• Food and living expenses during hospital stays
• Lost income
• Medical and recovery costs
• Supporting Vanna’s siblings during this crisis
If you cannot donate, please share Vanna’s story. Lift her up in prayer. Send strength to her lungs, healing to her body, and peace to her mama’s heart.
Vanna is still here. She is still fighting. And she needs her community now more than ever.
Let’s surround this brave little girl with the love and support she deserves.
- Please help us bring Vanna home.
