My name is Manda, and I am reaching out for financial assistance due to a series of challenging events that have significantly impacted my life. In May 2024, I lost my job following the death of my best friend and boss, who passed away from cancer in March. She was not only my best friend and mentor but also the heart of our company, and her absence led to a shift in the company’s dynamics. Unfortunately, the higher-ups decided to let go of those of us who were loyal to her.

In the midst of this turmoil, my roommate—who was also a close friend—stopped paying rent for five months, leaving me to shoulder the financial burden alone. Despite my efforts to support both of us, I found myself struggling to make ends meet as she redirected her funds toward moving in with her boyfriend.

Compounding these difficulties, I lost my car to Hurricane Helene, making it increasingly challenging to attend job interviews and seek new employment. At 41 years old, I have never experienced a day of independent financial stability. I have always been the one to support others, but now I find myself in a position where I desperately need help. I am tired of being the savior; I need someone to save me.
