I’m going to be honest.

Being a Black woman building a business is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever done.

And one of the hardest.

People see the confidence.

They see the ideas. The vision. The determination. The social media posts. The plans.

What they don’t see are the nights I lie awake wondering how I’m going to fund the next step.

They don’t see the tears, the sacrifices, or the weight of carrying a dream that feels bigger than me.

They don’t see the anxiety that comes with trying to build something meaningful without the resources, connections, or generational wealth that so many businesses start with.

I’m not building this business just for myself.

I’m building it for every little Black girl who deserves to see that her dreams are possible.

I’m building it for my community.

For the people with ideas but no roadmap.

For the entrepreneurs who need support.

For the families who deserve opportunities.

For the future generations who need to know that we belong in every room where decisions are made.

The truth is, entrepreneurship can feel lonely.

There are days when faith is carrying more weight than finances.

Days when passion is working overtime to make up for a lack of funding.

Days when I question myself, only to wake up the next morning and keep going anyway.

Because quitting was never part of the vision.

Today, I’m asking for support.

Not because I lack the determination.

Not because I expect anyone else to build my dream for me.

I’m asking because community has always been how we survive.

How we heal.

How we rise.
