Short Story
Devin Treadaway, wife to Justin, daughter of Jeff and Anita Chamblee, and mom of three, received a diagnosis in April 2024 of aggressive stage 3 metastatic melanoma. She has since undergone multiple tests, surgery, 5 of 12 rounds of immunotherapy, and several scans and imaging. Her last PET scan showed signs that her cancer is once again continuing to spread. Due to this, Devin has begun an additional immunotherapy drug and will have a second surgery in mid-October where she will have a multiple lymph node dissection and probable cancer removed from her leg. Her oncologists have referred her to M.D. Anderson where she is hoping to meet with a melanoma specialist, since her doctors have said that her melanoma is “not typical”. Devin and Justin are hoping to travel to Houston,Texas from northeast Mississippi as soon as they can get an appointment, Lord willing in the next few weeks.
On top of all of the health issues come added challenges of being a stay-at-home homeschool mama and violin teacher. Any donations or support would be tremendously appreciated by the family and would go toward helping to cover travel expenses for doctors appointments, out-of-state travel to M.D. Anderson, surgery and treatment sessions, allow her to take time off of work to recover, as well as help cover some of the cost of surgery as her insurance will not cover that. Please pray that the Lord will continue to meet every need.
