Challenge

The flooding is the worst to happen in sri lanka for several decades. In many communities, a year’s worth of rain fell in a single day. People are now in urgent need of shelter, food, clean water, and medical assistance. As they work to recover, the need for support is critical to help those affected rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

Solution

All donations to this fund will help flood survivors throughout affected communities in Sri lanka. These efforts will be led by mithuru sahana’s network of vetted partners. Initially, the fund will help meet survivors’ immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products, and shelter. As needs evolve, the fund will transition to support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted nonprofits.
