Story

I am an extremely grateful recovering alcoholic. My problematic drinking began around 15 years ago, and grew throughout my time in the military. Once I left the military it began to spiral. I had gotten myself a very good job in engineering which is the area I specialised in, however my drinking was getting worse and I had to resign. June 17th 2024 my sister passed away unexpectedly and I hit rock bottom.

I finally sought help January 2025, and referred myself to a treatment centre for 12 weeks. During that time I learned so much about myself and my addiction, and am determined to remain sober.

I wish to pursue a change of career, I have a fine art degree and a passion for art, and I’m little by little trying to set up my own business selling original pieces, however given that I have no income currently I’m struggling.

I do not wish to ask for huge sums of money, just a small amount to help me on my way.
