Hi, my name is Jemison, and I am 24 years old. My younger brother and I are reaching out today with heavy hearts and a desperate need for help. We’ve spent our entire lives trusting our mother, but she has stolen from us, manipulated us, and put us in an impossible situation. This is our story.

Growing up, we always believed that family was supposed to be a place of support, love, and stability. But over the years, we’ve experienced nothing but instability and betrayal at the hands of our mother. For as long as we can remember, we’ve been moved from place to place, never having a true home or sense of security. Every time things got difficult, instead of supporting us, she’d pack us up and move us again, often leaving us in even worse situations.

When I turned 18, everything got even harder. Our mother forced my brother and me to pay rent if we wanted to stay under her roof, or else we’d be kicked out and left homeless. With no other choice, we paid, but it was always a struggle to make ends meet. We were forced to grow up far too quickly, taking on responsibilities we never should have had to bear.

But the worst betrayal came recently. Our mother used our bank accounts without permission and drained every penny we had. She took all the money we had worked so hard to save for a future, and now we are left with nothing. She failed to keep the bills paid, and as a result, we are facing overdue bills, eviction threats, and an overwhelming sense of hopelessness.

We are at rock bottom right now. My brother and I are struggling to find stable housing, we’re buried in bills, and we have no savings to fall back on. We are doing our best to stay strong, but we cannot overcome this situation alone. That’s why we are reaching out for help.

We need to raise $50,000 to get back on our feet. Here’s what we plan to do with the funds:

1. Secure Safe Housing: We are currently at risk of being homeless and need money for a safe, stable place to live.
2. Pay Outstanding Bills: We have overdue bills and debt that our mother has been piling up, and we need help to avoid losing what little we have left.
3. Rebuild Our Savings: We want to put money aside to build a stable future and start over without the constant fear of financial instability.
4. Get Professional Help: The emotional and mental toll of what we’ve experienced is immense. We both need counseling and support to help us process the trauma of being betrayed by someone we trusted.
5. Cover Basic Living Expenses: From food to transportation, we need funds to cover day-to-day needs while we get back on our feet.

This is not easy for us to ask for, but we have nowhere else to turn. We’ve always worked hard and have always been grateful – working fast food, housekeeping jobs, etc. We tried to do the right thing, but we are overwhelmed and need help to rebuild.
