I am a father of two children. My wife, our little ones, and I live in extremely difficult conditions. Our old house is falling apart. Years of heavy rain and wind have damaged the walls and broken the roof. Whenever it rains, water leaks through, and we can’t even sleep in peace. My children keep getting sick. And as a father, there’s nothing more painful than seeing your own children suffer.

I don’t have a stable job. I do odd labor jobs to feed my family, but the little I earn isn’t even enough for food most days — let alone to rebuild a home. We dream of building even a simple two-room house, something safe and dry, but we just can’t afford it.

Sometimes, my children ask me, “Thaththa, when will we have a roof that doesn’t leak?”
I have no answer. I just smile, but inside, it breaks me.

So I humbly ask you — if you can help us in any small way, please do.
Every single rupee or dollar takes us one step closer to giving our children a safer, more dignified life. Even the smallest help means the world to us.
