Hello!

I am a 69-year-old Brazilian woman who has worked hard my entire life. Currently, I am retired. I have a wonderful 31-year-old daughter who, until recently, had never been unemployed. She purchased a small apartment to free herself from the burden of rent, using her savings for the down payment and financing the remainder.

However, she has been out of work for several months, and her savings have run out. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to help her financially. In fact, retirees in Brazil face increasingly difficult circumstances, as the government consistently adjusts our pensions far below the inflation rate. Our minimum wage is the lowest in the Americas, currently equivalent to just $248 USD.

The current government, led by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has severely impacted the country’s economy. Foreign investors have withdrawn from Brazil, and local investments have stalled, leaving our economy paralyzed.

As a result, my daughter has fallen behind on her bills and is at serious risk of losing her apartment. This situation has taken a severe toll on her mental health, and she is now struggling with depression.

My daughter is an exceptionally intelligent and talented individual. She has always been an outstanding student and even participated in an exchange program in the United States in 2008–2009. She is a highly skilled video editor and directed a short film, which has won awards both in Brazil and internationally.

It is heartbreaking for me to witness her struggle while feeling powerless to help. I have been praying for a solution for months, and now I have found this platform, hoping it might bring some relief to our situation.

I kindly ask for urgent assistance. She needs $2,000 to catch up on her bills and prevent the loss of her home. Of course, any amount, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated and could make a significant difference in helping her overcome this crisis.
