I’ve struggled for so long to get back on my feet, and now I’ve been hit with another devastating lesson. Even when lending money to friends or family, it’s crucial to keep meticulous records of all payments made. I thought I only owed $200 on my truck, but when I went to leave, I discovered the vehicle had been taken – and I was informed I actually owed $800. That truck was my sole source of income. Without it, I’m terrified of plummeting back to rock bottom, which is where I seem to be headed unless I can figure out a solution. I don’t know how I’ll come up with the money to pay this unexpected debt when I no longer have the means to earn it. This is an incredibly distressing situation, and I’m at a loss for how to move forward
