Mortgage Assistance
Story
Hello; my name is Cynthia Rogers; I am 60 years old been unemployed since July 2019 due to be fired from my employment after 15 years of service. I suffer from lower back pain L4 and L5 have not been in line with the other vertebral column, since my accident diagnosis from pain is degenerative disc disease; lumbar degenerative scoliosis; lumbar bilateral region sciatica; degenerative spondylolisthesis.
I have applied for social security benefits for lower back pain from an auto accident in 2004. When it comes to waiting for SSDI to kick in and give you what you have paid into is a long journey and I don’t want to lose my home waiting for funds from SSDI. I was traveling on I-95 North heading home from my waitressing job at the truck stop; I was rear ended by a vehicle that hit my vehicle and kept going. I did get funds from that accident. I cannot even get a part time job while waiting on SSDI to grant me my funds. I have bills that need to be paid NOW. Once these funds are released by SSDI; there should not be any problem with getting everything paid for and caught up. Also, I can actually find and be employed part time in an office somewhere getting paid. No more than 24 hours per week, should be a big help.
I decided to purchase my first home on March 15, 2015. I was only working part time from 2004 to 2019. My mortgage at that time was only $658.00 per month; it has increase a lot over the years to now $1,420.00 per month. I don’t really understand the reasons behind the increase but I do try. I would like to pay down on my mortgage amount owed from $38,500.00 to as close as I can get to $30,000.00; I do understand that there would be interest charges left on the remaining balance of $8,500.00. I may be asking for too much assistance; any and all is welcomed.
I would like to express my appreciation for time and effort on this matter. Thanks for any and all assistance you can provide to me.
