Hi, my name is Dennis Janczewski, my wifes name is Lisa and we have been married for 31 years and live in Upstate NY. For the past 22 years I worked for Walmarts distribution center in Marcy NY. My wife worked for Defast for the government. 7 years ago we started building our home. Almost 6 years ago during COVID my wife became fully disabled due to MS which put her in retirement. On August 2nd of 2020 I had my first heart attack and have had 4 since then. We own our home and the land but are struggling to pay our property taxes. It took my wife 2 attempts of filing for social security to be approved. We have been waiting for 4 years to get approved for mine. Since that time we have been struggling to pay our property taxes. We were notified 6 months ago that if we do not pay our taxes in full by January 1 2026 that our home and property will be auctioned off. Since we were notified we have tried applying to many banks for loans and other places for a home equity loan. Now I would like to remind you that we own everything we have. We do not owe anything on our home, property or cars and until I am approved for my social security disabilility we there is no opportunity for us to get help.
