landlord dying of cancer, sudden eviction
Story
i have attached my PayPal because I am in serious need of help!! Me and my roommate were given 30 days notice to vacant (even though we pay rent on time) due to the landlord having a terminal illness..
I just started a new job a month ago, as a family counselor at a funeral home, but have yet to receive my first paycheck.. I’m also adjusting out of a restaurant, so I’m used to leaving with cash daily. I financially planned for this hardship, but due to this I’m even more unprepared for a move. My roommate is in school and waitresses full time at night during the week. Neither of us are in the spot to afford the move..
we are under a lease until September so legally we could fit this.. but who wants to be this asshole fighting the person over 4 months when they’re dying of cancer. Not me anyways. Please help me come up with the funds to support a sudden move. I mean, in the most perfect world I’d raise enough to be able to just pay the house off for the sick mum and her family but I know that’s asking for more than a beggar can beg for but please anything will help. The sooner we can get out of this place, the sooner they can sale it.
I have no family in this state to help me. Neither does my roommate. We’re just two young girls trying to be adults in this crazy world.
Also, duck cancer !!!
