Hello everyone. My name is Tabitha. The last couple of years have been a whirlwind where I have both suffered abuse and trauma and freedom and renewal. In 2022, I entered a relationship which turned abusive mentally, verbally and physically. By the grace of God, I escaped the relationship and relocated back to my home state in North Carolina. I gained new employment and have been renting a room out of houses with people I have met online for the past several months. While I am working and doing the best I can to get caught up on debt that I owe that has been keeping me from being approved with a traditional apartment, it has been hard. I have to be out of the current room I’m renting on June 1, 2025 because the homeowner is moving away. Having to move from place to place has been mentally draining on me beyond words as I am still healing from the trauma of surviving what has been the darkest era of my life. I still need $6,0oo before I am able to move into my own apartment and have stable, secure housing. I have been the person who has worked 2 jobs sometimes 3 to take care of myself and do not like asking for help at all. This entire experience has been incredibly humbling and has changed how I see myself and my entire outlook on life. I have been struggling more lately and I’m honestly on the verge of a breakdown and tired. I am ready and in desperate need of security and stability so that I can continue to heal, work and focus on accomplishing my goals in life of completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology and pursuing my passion in writing.
