Story

I am a 56 year old woman, who was in a 8 year domestic violence relation,  that I finally escaped from.  However, I have had an extremely hard time getting on my feet without allowing him to find me. So I’ve been stuck living in a friends garage in 110 degree weather during the summer and 30 to 40 degrees in winter. I don’t have a car and I really have zero dollars to even take a bus anywhere. I get food stamps but no other money. I don’t know where to turn I dont have many friends because of my past relationship with the abuser. I need a livable place to live and a vehicle so that I can get a job or start a business. I can’t do it living in this garage,  it’s too hot or too cold and miserable. I’m grateful for the shelter but it isn’t a place I can advance my life from. I need any help that someone can give from a car to money to a livable climate controlled space in my city.
