Hello, my name is Kimberly, and I’m a devoted mother of five, striving to create a stable and secure future for my children. In 2022, I made the difficult but necessary decision to leave Philadelphia due to increasing gun violence. At the time, I was pregnant with my youngest, and I knew Florida would offer a safer, brighter future for my family. My goal has always been to give my children the opportunities I never had—to break the cycle of struggle and provide them with a home where they can truly thrive.

In June 2024, I was on the verge of achieving that dream. I had worked tirelessly to save up and was ready to purchase our first home. Unfortunately, due to delays from the bank, our closing date was pushed back, and my contract expired. As a result, the escrow money I had put down—my hard-earned savings—was lost. It was devastating, but I refuse to give up.

As a working mother, it’s been incredibly challenging to rebuild those savings while providing for my children, especially with the rising cost of living. But I believe in resilience, faith, and the kindness of those who support families like mine. I am reaching out for help to get back on track toward homeownership. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to securing a forever home—a place where my children can feel safe, loved, and stable.
