Guinea pig rescue
Story
Hello my name is curie I am a making an effort to help the guinea pig population problem in the U.S. , if you do not know over the past 2 years guinea pig ownership has skyrocketed and people are adopting these cute rodents without research and assume they are easy animals until they find out they aren’t easy and either get neglected , returned or in worse cases put down. I want to make a guinea pig sanctuary for people who no longer can comfortably own their piggies and give them a safe space to live the rest of there lives. It Is heart breaking seeing so many piggies be adopted and not getting the love and space they deserve I plan to have multiple sheds on my property that can house 100 guinea pigs comfortably with temp controls to keep them safe from heat or cold if you are willing to donate it would be much appreciated I currently am housing 6 piggies 4 males 2 females that got dropped off on my door step about a year ago that’s what started my effort I hated seeing there little faces in pain they had clearly been neglected and the owner at least tried to do the right thing and rehouse them luckily I was home it was 110 out that day and they wouldn’t have survived in there carrier if they’d been outside any longer
