Short Story
Car broke down and lost my job right before my rental agreement ends.
I am unsure if I can pay the next month’s rent, let alone move to a new place. I am looking for opportunities to earn money and send out resumees every day. I literally cannot affort to lose hope and am grasping every straw.
I am looking for €2,500 to pay for rent (2 months) to fix my car and set a bit aside for a deposit.
Endure the next 2 months: Job Loss, Car breaking down and Rental Agreement ending
Story
I’m Alexandra, 28, and I’m facing some unexpected challenges after my department at work was suddenly phased out, and my car broke down.
Now, with my rental agreement ending soon, I’m uncertain if I can afford a place to live starting November (with the expenses of rent and deposit, as well as next month’s rent). Despite these setbacks, I’m staying as hopeful as I can and am actively searching for jobs and freelance work every day.
This is my first opportunity to live on my own, as I’ve always lived with someone. My parents, friends or room mates – I have never lived by myself before and I really don’t want to have to give that up before really trying it. I’m seeking €2,500 to pay for rent (for two months) and fixing my car while I secure a job.
Even the smallest contribution can help me dig myself out of uncertainty and worry. I strongly believe that in two months everything will be okay again, I just don’t need to lose hope on these last steps going into this new chapter.
