Dear Kind Hearted Donors,

I want to thank you in advance for even taking the time out to read my request.  We are in dire need for financial assistance and I’m sorry it has to come to this…asking complete strangers for help.  The church series we are currently going through is called “The One Anothers.”  We are learning the need for burden sharing because sometimes we can’t carry this weight alone.  So here I go, sharing my burden.  Not only am I requesting financial assistance, but prayers as well from Christ Followers.

I am a Licensed Practical Nurse from Illinois that moved to California a couple of months ago to take care of my ailing parents.  I have two Moms, my retired nurse birth Mother and her Significant Other of 25+ years (Second Mama).  My Mother is suffering from early signs of dementia and now she needs heart surgery for a mitral valve replacement.  She also has rheumatoid arthritis and a hip replacement.  Second Mama is reaching retirement age in October, but will still have to work due to financial needs.  She suffers from severe COPD and can only work at the office three days a week, per doctor’s orders.  They were already struggling to make ends meet and were behind on bills when I arrived, but now I’ve arrived and have added to the financial burden.  I’m still waiting for my nursing license to transfer to California, as the state is severely back logged.  We are behind on bills, food is getting scarce, my personal bills are completely in arrears, and apparently I might have to wait an additional 6-8 weeks for my license to transfer.  This stress level is so high, I even suffered a heart attack a month and a half ago, a month before I turned 46.  Our ship is completely sinking and I am pleading for help.  We can’t even get financial assistance from my two brothers.

I can get over the feeling of being weak and pathetic, asking for handouts from complete strangers.  What I can’t deal with is my two Moms stressed out and hurting more than ever now that I’ve arrived, amazingly in an attempt to help them.  I humbly ask for your financial assistance in the amount of $2,000.00 to get us back on track and hopefully carry us through until my nursing license transfers. When that happens, I can work through my agency around the schedule of helping Mom and Second Mama.  I am also pleading for your prayers for my family, if you are a Christ follower.  Thank you so very much in advance for your time, attention, donations, and prayers.
